Carnival boys!

well last night was interesting, first night of carnival and the tradition is that the blokes wear womens clothes, no I didn’t partake but I did notice there was a large proportion of the guys who seemed rather at home in drag.

in fact it appears that salgeiro has quite a large and open gay community, which I have to say I was surprised to hear  considering some of the prejudice I have come across in this area during my last travels.
